Hoping for some hospitality and a new friend

LAST EDITED ON Jul-27-14 AT 10:51PM (MST)[p]I am headed to Fort Collins October 20-24 for a seminar. I am a cop in WA state and an experienced deer and elk hunter. Non-drinker or smoker. Hunted MT, ID, WY and WA before.

I was hoping I could tag along to someone's camp for a few days. I have never been to CO before and jumped at this class because of the dates. Is there anyone out there that hunts near there that would be willing to let me tag along? I will rent a 4X4 to get around in. Is there a chance to get some kind of over the counter tag? Etc. if not I will just bring my spotter and binos and spot for you.

I would have to go to your camp either before or after my seminar. If there is anyone out there willing PM me and we will arrange to talk over the phone. Oh..and I am not a camp princess. I will pull my weight.

Colorado's 2nd season (1st over the counter elk season) is Saturday October 18 through Sunday the 26th. You could definitely hunt elk if you want to spend the money on the tag for a few days before and after your seminar in an OTC unit. Never hunted around Ft. Collins, but you could get into an OTC unit pretty easily from there, just head west. Hopefully you get an invite from someone on MM.

Thank you for the advice. I have a great offer from elks96. He is pretty far away but I am trying to make it work out.
