I just posted up on the "ROCK" post that DEERKING made and got to wondering how old everyone here is?& when you graduated High School?
I'm 42& graduated in 1978
(man time flies!)

I'll be 38 on the last day of august (the day before achery starts!) Class of 83 and 93(college). Mentally I'm (at least according to my wife and friends) 18 physically I am creeping up on 50. Football a car wreck and a few falls while roofing has taken a huge toll on my bod.
Eric

i am 29
graduated in 92

i still got milk on my lips compared to some of you old farts LOL

Hey Polarbear, you a roofer? My dad has operated a roofing business since 1958. I think he did that so all his kids would go to college so they didn't have to roof! I hate roofing, never done harder work in my life than anything else!

Anyhow, I'm class of 1991! 30 years young.

I'm 53!! Graduated '68 high school, '72 college. Been married to my H.S. Sweetheart for 33 years!! I was way into hunt'in then, and I'm even more into it now!!! ( still glad to this day that I didn't get to visit S.E. Asia).

NVMDF- I feel you pain...16 years playing football...6 various surgeries since I quit playing and needing 2 more...OUCH! I told the doc I'll be in when I can't walk anymore!

Class of 1993...graduated ASU 1997...I'll be 28 in October when I go on my Illinois archery deer hunt...I'm dreading 30!!!!!!!

be so sore and worn out it will be your first and last trip
You'll go home with more dead birds than you have taken in
the last 5 years. Looking forword to seeing you this fall. we'll
drink a lot of brew to, you need all the carbs you can get.

Hagg.

I'll show you mine if you'll show me yours!
I raced motorcycles for about ten years,When I was 26 I blew up my left ankle racing motocross, broken tibia, broken fibula, 16 screws, two metal plates, a bone graft out of my hip.
It takes me a little time to warm up but I can still go with the kids!
I do get a little arthritis pain occasionally, but knowing "the BIG one is out there" keeps me goin'

NVMDF, I also feel for you. But only 1 ACL and 1 shoulder. I am 36 and this last birthday was the hardest yet. Guess I'm over halfway through my 30's. Orlin

GADUATED IN 1996 and I am a young age of 26, and I can keep up with my shorthair, he is only 15 (no wonder I can keep up.......................LOL)

No, I'm not a roofer but I did help put roofs on my Dads house and barn and for a couple of cousins. The worst was when I fell a little over 2 stories after my ladder kicked out from under me. I landed on my feet and havent been the same since.
Eric

Hey guys, class of 74 and 78 Sac state. 47 years and going strong. Bad shoulder and neck from snowboarding. However my wheels and lungs work good. Problem is finding people who can still, or still want to go high.

LAST EDITED ON Jul-03-03 AT 09:31AM (MST)[p]43, graduated in '78 as well...

Harry, BeanMan, now Hankstein??? What company! Put me down as a '78 H.S. graduate as well. It wasn't until '86 that I got out of college however......too many hunting seasons and parties at the frat house.

BTW, any of you boys going to your 25 year class reunion??

GONHUNTIN'

Mark you said that your shorthair is 15 years old. In the words of "Ben Cartwright" from Bonanza that is 105 years in human age.

Just had to add that in as a joke. Lost my dog years ago on his 16th birthday, but he was a Husky.

It sucks when you have to take along a box of Depends, Preperation H and Geritol on a hunt! You know that you are getting old when you reach in your fanny pack for a bottle of elk piss and you come up with a tube of Anu-sol. :D Or when you've got a hot bull going and you go to blow your cow call and you spit your teeth out onto the ground. Or when you no longer take a set of antlers with you to rattle with but instead you shake a couple of bottles of high blood presure pills or your nitro. Or you make your own buck grunts and snorts out of your ass with every step that you take, and you dont even realize it.
Or you no longer need to wear gloves to hide your hands because they are totally covered with liver spots. Your own built in camo. When the shine off of your head spooks as much game as the 4 wheeler that you are glued to. You road hunt in a specially equipped van that has a hydrolic lift in the back for your 4 wheeler. You road hunt while listening to Perry Como.
Enough already.
Eric

Polarbear,

That sure is funny and just remember that you will be there one of these years too. There is only ONE of those mentioned that applies to me and that is the high blood pressure, all of the rest don't apply yet. My age is at the top of this post.

Yep, I know that its inevitable but what are ya gonna do? When it happens it happens, ya just roll with it and go on. At the rate that I'm going, I'll be there long before I should. I kinda like the depends idea. You dont have to stop to go "potty", just hunt. Hey there is an idea for a new product! Scent eliminating, camo Depends! "Forget the crapper, just hunt!" Hell... I've gotta go and get to the U.S. patent ofice!
Free samples for all at M.M.! I'll need help with research and development, any takers?
Eric

Slowly sneaking up on 30. Graduated in '92. I do feel a lot older due to major back surgery. I still need to get cut on for my shoulder, right ankle and another back surgery. I hurt constantly and the only relief I get is when I am buckhunting.

Was the ques how old(young) or was it, who wins the trophy for the most surgeries? 32 24th of August. Graduated 1989. "We are sexy, we are fine, we're the class of 89'". Sorry, reliving high school. I figure if the rest of you throw the real you out there, so can I. Have arthritis but can still b*tch with the best of them. Teasin. Always a smile, fight back the pain, and give me the great outdoors and I am one happy girl. I look midtwenties if it matters. Us lil' women take care of the big boys. BowGirl

i love to chase big muleys, i can promise you i know from experience that they are hard to find around here these days...finding their sheds is second to none. can't wait to finish our new house just in time for hunting season, i have some hardcore hunting to do to make up for last season. BTW, my one year old son is doing much better now for those of you who remember the health problems he had when he was younger (i.e. during last season!). I thank God every day for my son's health!!!
