An aquaintance that's a Game and Fish officer in the area told us of this on our early Oct hunt. According to him, ten horses died and charges had yet to be filed.

Hey Dutch,
A friend of mine here in Cortez is an outfitter and he took some of this guys hunters that didnt have anywhere to hunt. I helped him guide some of them and we were pretty successful. So atleast it wasnt a total loss for the hunters! "They left pretty happy"

That is good to hear, I felt bad for them poor hunters. Hornaddiction-you guys do any good this year hunting yourselves?

I got my bull but that big buck got away from me. I chased him for 3 weeks but never could get a close enough shot (archery) so I ate tag soup. Could of shot lots of little bucks but I figure they cant grow if you dont let them. How did you guys do?
