What a roller coaster season. I missed two bulls, including a 6-point, before realizing my scope was off. As I missed the 6, my buddy nailed a real nice 5. Another friend brought in his horses and we lost his dog. Spent the next two days looking for the dog instead of elk hunting. When this raggy 5 popped up, I decided he was good enough. Next day, we went out and I was able to take a pretty nice general season buck. He goes about 165 but is really massive, dark and balanced. Gorgeous buck. Live weight on him was approximately 270 lbs. Check out his neck! It was a pretty wild and, at times, a frustrating season, but in the end, for general season tags, we did pretty well and had a good, body-abusing season. Hope you will enjoy.
