There are alot of deer in that unit. It is also a very large, diverse unit that ranges from low elevation winter range to 10,000 foot peaks and roadless areas. Kinda depends on what type of country you want to hunt and if the snow has pushed anything off the tops. There is ample public access through out the unit so while private access is always nice it is not needed to hunt the unit. I have heard that some of the deer will stay up in the high country in belly deep snow and I have seen mature deer down low by the first couple weeks of November even without the snow up high. Pick a road and start glassing...I bet you will find them.
