My daughter and I drew the Unit 40 late mule deer hunt. Yes we feel lucky! I am not familiar with that area. We have hunted all over (26, 39-1, 22, 75, 23 and white clouds) but have not hunted 40. We are super excited. we plan to spend a weekend a month up to the hunt scouting. Looking for any help in areas to best spend our time looking. Other information on deer movements and time to hunt (early or late). we are planning two weeks of hunting. Sounds like its not what it used to be but still some great bucks to find. Want to get away from the crowds. We planned on backpack hunting the Frank again until we found out we drew this unit. Daughter has killed a couple elk but not a mule deer yet. Thanks for your help.
