Howdy all, figured I'd give this a shot instead of begging for honeyholes.
I grabbed a unit 22 muzzle deer tag on the fire sale, not having ever hunted it, I am kind of in the dark. Obviously I'll scout it. I'll be down there next weekend, but I try to stay out of areas that have bowhunts and then elk hunts.
I have seen two big bears in the Gila wilderness this summer, and a hell of a cougar in 16d. I'd be happy to point you in their direction for some advice on this 22 deer hunt. Are there any mulies up high, or is it all coues terrain up there? I've seen lots of deer in Glenwood, should I be looking for alfalfa fields or apple trees?
