Kanosh Canyon Access

I was looking to hunt turkeys up there in a couple of weeks and was wondering if the gates were open to get up Kanosh canyon? Have any of you been up there or know if the gates are open?

I called the forest service and they said they didn't know and were no help at all.

I heard the gate is open but haven't been up there yet

I got word tonight the lower (first gate) is open to get you to the camp ground, but, the second gate is still closed.

The second gate was still closed a couple days ago.

ATVs under 50" wide are allowed around it,
the snow up high is pretty much gone.
Roads were dry, wouldn't be surpised if they open it
by the weekend.

Nope Bess, I didn't take the wheeler down this weekend.

But it's perfectly legal if you want too.
Type 1 ATVs and snowmobiles are open year round on the Pavant.
50" gates allowing access past main gates in about all canyons
