I've been watching this deer all summer come to my cornfield and when bow season opened on sept 3 it was 95 degrees and he disapeared for couple of days, then a cold front came through and rained for three days with a west wind.I could not hunt a west wind with that stand location,so the wind finally changed and was coming out of the south so i knew it was time to get back in my stand and it paid off with a 33yd heart shot and he ran 40yds and died right in front of me.This reminds me that no matter how bad i wanted to hunt this buck you allways have to get the right wind direction or i might not ever see this buck again.
