Kern County Doctors

I agree they are out of step with most of the establishment, and I like where they are going with this. Unfortunately I have the attention span of a toddler, and probably won't ever have a hour to devote to their entire tv show. You want me to watch for an hour, you better have some boobies or guns. :)

My criticism is the use of current testing data to draw conclusions across the entire population. I do not believe the testing has been/is random, and I suspect it over samples positives. I have absolutely no facts to base that on other than every other conclusion drawn from the data is wrong. And as a general rule I don't believe anything anyone says anyway.

I'm ignoring the numbers for a while. We will have years to analyze and argue about this.

They are saying what a lot of people have been saying all along and it does not fit the narrative, unfortunately. The only ones who need a new one ripped are the ones responsible for destroying peoples lives (financial) and over all well being.

If you are terrified, then stay home and do damage to yourself but don't expect everyone else to do so because you are afraid of venturing out of a cave (reference from the movie 'The Croods')

Thanks DW! And long live Kern County, CA! They even have squash seeds! If you know the right people.

Love the line ' ER doctor friends are being pressured to add COVID to death reports....'. Huh??? Pressured by who? Site the source and call it out, as opposed to throwing out a line designed to fuel conspiracy theory about doctors being "pressured". What a joke!

What I heard is that they own 5 urgent care facilities and they are worried about losing their business. Two doctors out of 10's of thousands in the US whining because they are losing their business.

Where are all of the others jumping on board with this opinion?

Flame-on, people!!!

I posted an article on our local town page about the Colorado health department now including "probable" covid deaths as covid deaths and stated they were doing it because they weren't getting the numbers they'd hoped. I got blasted by a local vet tech about hippocratic oath and how dare I think a Dr would risk his practice by lying. I told her her issues were coming thru and my problem was with CHD and their decision. The believers are rabid!

A huge part of this is trying to derail the Trump train...before this he was going to win in a landslide...

If it is a COVID related death you get money from the Feds

Well, if indeed this another attempt to keep Trump from a second term, there will be hell to pay...

the complete video can be seen google ER physician drops multiple covid-19 bombshells- you tube.

Interesting. They did over 5,000 tests and are relying on data results on patient seen not models.
Yes Covid is more contagious than the flu, but doesn't seem more deadly to most people.
96% of people who died had 3 other comorbidity.
Interesting to watch.

Yes a world wide lock down was instituted just to keep Trump from a 2nd term.

Also who signed the bill and supported the Covid payments from the Feds? You should go look at what the presidents actions were in regards to the stimulus bill.

But it is all a conspiracy and the entire world is in on it. Never let the chin strap loose on your tinfoil hat.

If is it all a set up then why does the president continue to play along? Why did he play along to start with?

....he's setting a trap for the entire world wide socialist conspiracy against him......and soon....He and Barr and Durham will spring the trap on everyone and we will all live happily ever after......

So Brix said that doctors were being pressured to add COVID to cause of death?? Umm, OK.... That makes sense.

She said exactly that. She gave instruction and made the announcement that any death where the patient tested positive, to put down the death was virus related. It didn't matter if they had COPD or anything else, the virus killed them and not the pre-existing condition they had before the virus was even heard of. Why do you think the survival rate is high for healthy people?

Dude - you need to get our more and pay attention to what's going on. Life must suck to be counted as one of the many sheeople...

Measles is 18 times more contagious than CV 19, sometimes flare-ups happen locally at a school, but the world does not come to a screeching halt. It's because we know that it is not a highly deadly sickness.

You believe he shut down travel to and from China and Europe very early on, thus being a major instigator of the overreaction as part of a "TRAP" (though he knew it was a pandemic the whole time, his words... not mine)?

And you're not pissed about this?

I've said I don't blame Trump for his decisions as he only had the information available at the time, but if this whole Charlie Foxtrot is a Trump-derived "trap" and he's hurting millions to retain political power... then he belongs in jail.

But luckily, I don't believe a word you wrote.

C'mon brother, I know you are smarter than this! It wasn't that it was created to derail Trump, it's just being used to derail Trump. Never let a crisis go to waste!

If that is what is going on then the president is giving them a free pass with his handling of the crisis. There are times when saying nothing is more powerful than 50 hours of briefings.

Optics matter and support beyond your base is a must. The election is a long time from now but the economic fallout from this will be longer and people the President needs, outside his base, are growing weary of his act.

So shopping at Home Depot doesn't cause Wuhan, but shopping at Boot Barn does.

The reality is, this is exactly why you don't let government run anything. There is no SCIENTIFIC reason. Their is suggestion, theory, etc, but 6 weeks in Dr Fauci cannot show an actual reason for anything.

"If the critics say we overreacted then we are probably where we need to be"

Unless you can show how social distancing, 6ft, at Lowe's is safer than social distancing at old navy. Or why cigs and chew are "essential" but hair dye isn't.

As we watch the two bit Tyrant in Michigan now fight off her states elected legislatures desire to limit her power, and Cuomo threatening to close his state until the US bails out his bankrupt state, and Newsome rapidly advancing social change, and dozens of others now advancing causes, not health related, its A FACT this is being used.

Admit a Covid patient. $13k bonus

Intubate one. $39k bonus

Any death "showing symptoms" of Wuhan, NOT TESTED POSITIVE, just showing signs, it a Wuhan death. Anyone notice HEADACHE is now a CDC symptom?

They pressured by the same people who charge $18 for a Tylenol. Hospitals need to make money same as any other buisness.

"Dr Fauci hasn't seen a patient in over 20yrs"

Pretty much sums up any argument or discussion.

Hoss,

Where are you getting these numbers for the payment of Covid patients? I would like to see the source of that if you can forward or PM me it. I have searched and cannot find it but I have heard it a couple of times. I can find Medicare payments in the relief bill but none of that applies to patients with Private Insurance, Medicaid, VA, TriCare or IHS.

Also Given the way medicare reimburses through the DRG system and how varied the charges are across the nation I can't believe there is a set amount for Covid in any payment healthcare system.

Some of these experts who are predicting the worst case scenarios based on computer models remind me of climate alarmists who predict the end of civilization unless we change our ways. It's the way they keep their funding coming in. Cause humans to be very afraid and they will act irrationally. Show me one climate prediction that has come true in the last 50 years.

Here you go from MSNBC:

An analysis by the Kaiser Family Foundation looked at average Medicare payments for hospital admissions for the existing diagnosis-related groups and noted that the “average Medicare payment for respiratory infections and inflammations with major comorbidities or complications in 2017 … was $13,297. For more severe hospitalizations, we use the average Medicare payment for a respiratory system diagnosis with ventilator support for greater than 96 hours, which was $40,218.”

It is true, however, that the government will pay more to hospitals for COVID-19 cases in two senses: By paying an additional 20% on top of traditional Medicare rates for COVID-19 patients during the public health emergency, and by reimbursing hospitals for treating the uninsured patients with the disease (at that enhanced Medicare rate).

Eel - Computer models are complete garbage unless you have a political agenda to feed. Then you can feed it whatever you want to get the desired result you want. Would Bill & Melinda Gates have recently purchased a $43 million dollar beachfront property in Del Mar if they thought it would be underwater in a few years? Would the Obummers have purchased a $12 million dollar waterfront estate in the Hamptons if it was going to be underwater in a few years? They don't believe the crap their spewing, why should we.

I've been wondering the same thing.

Glen,

I linked the actual Kaiser Family Foundation study that is quoted in those numbers. It is kind of right but the study doesn't come out with a set price for all Covid patients.

I urge you to go read it if you have time and tell me where you find these numbers contained as a set price. Medicare uses DRG reimbursement for all their codes.

I will also point out that contained within the bill passed by the Republican Controlled Senate and signed by a Republican president there is "free" money to hospitals for Covid patients. If there are hospitals gaming the system where is the review, audit and enforcement of the rules from the people who threw taxpayer funds at problem?

Nemont

Glen,
Here is from the KFF.org article MSNBC quoted:

Caveats and Outstanding Questions
These estimates are highly uncertain, driven in particular by uncertainty surrounding how many people will become infected with the coronavirus. There is still a lot unknown about how the epidemic will evolve, which will be affected by policies like social distancing and the extent to which they are followed by the public. We will be able to refine the estimates as more data become available.

The estimates used to calculate the number of uninsured who are hospitalized are likely to be conservative, because they are based on a total of 27.9 million people uninsured from the most recent data in 2018. That number has no doubt increased, particularly with millions of people recently losing their jobs and, in many cases, their employer-provided health insurance. Many of the people who were previously uninsured, and many of those who have become recently unemployed, are eligible for Medicaid or premium subsidies under the Affordable Care Act.

Our calculations of the average cost of hospitalization also used several conservative assumptions regarding Medicare payments. The average Medicare payment data that we used was from 2017 and was not updated for inflation or for Medicare payment updates since that time. Additionally, we did not account for a likely difference in the geographic mix of COVID-19 patients as compared to those previously treated under those same Medicare codes in 2017. A geographic mix of COVID-19 patients more heavily concentrated in high wage areas such as New York would increase the total cost of reimbursing for care for the uninsured. This analysis also does not account for a temporary end to the 2% cut to Medicare that was part of sequestration and does not account for Medicare outlier payments, which provide additional reimbursement for “cases involving extraordinarily high costs.”3

No one seems to be reviewing anything. I have a buddy that owns a tile company with 245 employees. He is getting $2 million and his business has been booming. He lives in a paid for $10 million home and has a cabin that he was offered $1 million for last year. Hospitals are no different. If there is money involved why wouldn't they line up at the trough? The house approves all spending so at least a few democrats must have voted this through. It is all a mess and greed has taken over the economy as usual.

Once people are allowed to take their masks off I think they will see the comparison. A 1:30 minute video.

Gowdy has a lot of practical common sense.
I believe the results of these two and many more physicians and not some ever changing models and Fauci.

My son sent me this same video this morning then called 30 minutes ago saying that YouTube had taken it down. Try to click on the link in the original post... it’s gone!!! Does it not strike anyone as curious why BIG BROTHER would take down this video? They don’t want you, us, the rest of our country to start asking questions. The **** that is being spewed by our “trusted news sources” is ALL BS!!!! We are standing by letting the officials that we put into office destroy our country. What the hell is really going on??? This entire thing blows my mind & pisses me off that so many folks in our great county are nothing more than sheep.
SPEAK UP!!! ASK QUESTIONS!!! RAISE HELL & DEMAND ANSWERS!!!

I got stitches at one of their facilities a couple years ago.....great service.

If they are going to get arrested here at home....the state will have to move in to do it and I'm not sure Sheriff Donny Youngblood will allow that.....

I went to the hardware store and then to the grocery store this morning. Both places had signs on the door.

NO MASK-NO SERVICE

You'll follow orders or you won't eat.

I tried pulling the door open at autozone and some foreign refuge pulled it back shut and said....not till someone walks out......so I went down the street to O’reilleys.....better attitude

Well, those little Commies! It's obvious "the best available science" was just a ruse. I already knew that.

I went to Monticello in Tardlandia to play golf. Bless their hearts, I did NOT see a single mask ALL day! Of course us having Colorado plates, we were given a wide berth. Step aside, the mans coming thru. ;)

Beautiful golf course and a beautiful day.:)
