Ive owned alot of camo in my time. This year i bought Kuiu and im here to tell you cannot beat it for price and it works.
i own: Merino 185 tops and bottoms, spindrift, attack pants, guide jacket, wool benie, guide benie, gloves, Icon 3000, wool neck warmer, chugach pants.
i recently used the pack on a late elk hunt. Nothing beats this pack when it comes to hauling out elk quarters! Everyone else packing quarters were in pain. Mystery ranch, eberlestock packs were not working properly and not packing thw weight of the elk the way they should. I was able to carry one hind, one shoulder, both backstraps along with my rifle and other daily gear. My pack had to of weighted at least 100lbs. I was walking completely upright, no need to lean forward, ect. Packs hip belt was awesome. I ended up giving my walking poles to another guy wearing an eberlestock pack.
The camo pattern is outstanding! It does what it is intended to do. Break up the human outline. And does it ever. Many will say to them.. ie: human vision, it doesnt look right. But whos eye are we all trying to fool. A humans or an animals. And it fools them. I had a group of 6 bucks walk right past me at 10 yards feeding in open sage that never saw me.
Im sold on KUIU and waiting for more gear to come in. The tsunami that hit japan delayed the shipment of material to make the Kuiu gear, thats why things are back ordered. And it is there first year in business.
They are also coming out with spindrift bottoms, gaiters, guide pants and other things.
you wont be disappointed with it.
