Been puttin in since 1997 finally got picked, decided to go late this year and it paid off. I did not see any bulls that i had seen throughout the fall before this hunt started. I scouted a week before the hunt started, lots of snow made it tuff to get around. I went to parts of the unit that I dont spend much time in and found Elk. The snow had started to get blown away in the area wich was a huge plus. This bull was the biggest i could find throughout the week so i decided to take him. I am happy with this bull what a great time to hunt absolutley nobody else out there during the week i had the unit to myself. I did manage to find 12 6 point and better bulls with this one being the biggest. I had seen some bigger bulls at the end of October, but that damn snow pushed them somewhere and i couldnt find them. Now that i have drawn a coveted Elk tag I can start gettin some deer points, Hell ya.........
