Is this list out yet? The cpw site is a little bit confusing. Or maybe I’m just a dip ****.
I agree. It used to be pretty good. Now i dont even look at itThanks, I don’t care for how they are doing it.
Only difference is, one will go on sale at 9am and the rest at 11amI thought the Aug 2 List, which is online now, was for leftovers and beginning Aug 9 the re-issues started showing up but the re-issues are on there now. I'm confused - what is different beween Aug 2 and Aug 9 and beyond?
Wouldn't it be less confusing to just bump up the Leftover/Reissue Process a week by posting the list Aug 2, and releasing tags Aug 3 at 11:00?Only difference is, one will go on sale at 9am and the rest at 11am
I was thinking the same thing, used to be a decent amount of bear tags floating around on it, but this is probably the worst left over list I’ve seen for just about every speciesits out now, slim pickens
According to the regs: lists are posted on Tuesday’s and go on sale Wednesday at 11 am tell 1pmWouldn't it be less confusing to just bump up the Leftover/Reissue Process a week by posting the list Aug 2, and releasing tags Aug 3 at 11:00?
Except for next week when the list was posted on the prior Thursday and on go on sale on Tuesday.According to the regs: lists are posted on Tuesday’s and go on sale Wednesday at 11 am tell 1pm
Thanks that was very helpful.Per the CPW site, today's list of tags that go on sale August 2nd should include the following:
So I'm guessing the list posted on August 8th will include tags returned and reissued after July 25th. Might be a few more decent tags available August 9th but my guess is that tags for better hunts won't be available until closer to the refund/point restoration deadline which is 30 days prior to the hunt code start date.
- Limited licenses leftover after the primary and secondary draws for elk, deer, pronghorn and bear
- Limited elk, deer, pronghorn, and bear licenses that someone drew but did not pay for during the secondary draw and took fewer than five resident preference points
- Limited licenses that were returned for refund/preference point restoration since the opening of the secondary draw but prior to July 25 and took fewer than five resident preference points to draw
- Over-the-counter (OTC) licenses for elk, archery pronghorn, whitetail deer, and bear
yes got a bull tag last year but I did better under the random systemHave any of you been able to grab a tag from this list since they changed the release process? Myself and the wife used to be able to get a tag or two when they were released randomly. Have yet to even get a sniff since the change.
Awesome. We’ve been setup atyes got a bull tag last year but I did better under the random system
I’m in the same boat, so are all my buddies… have yet to figure this thing outHave any of you been able to grab a tag from this list since they changed the release process? Myself and the wife used to be able to get a tag or two when they were released randomly. Have yet to even get a sniff since the change.
Yes, grabbed 3 tags last year! I liked the random betterHave any of you been able to grab a tag from this list since they changed the release process? Myself and the wife used to be able to get a tag or two when they were released randomly. Have yet to even get a sniff since the change.
Teach me your ways!Yes, grabbed 3 tags last year! I liked the random better
Work buddy of mine is personal friends with the guy that made the leftoverwatch app a few years back. He said that fella wasn’t getting tags. There are some high tech dudes that are into hunting, I just need to join their nerd gang I guessI tried both the Denver and Salida offices last year, 1st in line both times, NOTHING. The person behind the counter told me she has never been able to get anyone a the tag that had less than 3 available. Makes you wonder?
Does someone have the same software that is used by resale companies to get concert and sporting tickets?
Christ I have to go to the south canyon office. I cant imagine they have great internet.CPW office in Gunnison told me it’s whoever has the fastest internet service!! Certainly won’t be me! Lol ?
As long as your both logged in on separate accounts and separate computers shouldn’t be a problem. Let us know how it goesHere is a question I haven’t seen addressed. Can 2 different people be logged in to a single persons acct on different computers and apply for the same tag or for different tags for that person?
Finally got my son to commit to bringing my grandson hunting (after the leftover drawing!). Want to try for a cow tag and a buck tag for grandson. Can both his Dad and I be online on his acct trying to get two different tags for him? I realize there is no youth preference from this point on.
Pretty sure it doesn’t work. My wife and I were both trying to get her a tag a couple years ago from different places and we kept kicking each other out of the accountHere is a question I haven’t seen addressed. Can 2 different people be logged in to a single persons acct on different computers and apply for the same tag or for different tags for that person?

We would be trying to log in to the same account twice at the same time. Sounds like it would not work.As long as your both logged in on separate accounts and separate computers shouldn’t be a problem. Let us know how it goes
See what KJW wrote above. I believe you would get kicked off and be more of a hinderance! We would be trying to log in to the same account twice at the same time. Sounds like it would not work.
Thx
This crap doesn't happen when the tags are randomly made availabe throughout the week. Some folks are in the que now despite directions. Others can’t get past residency page lol. Folks at machines are past residency w unit numbers…
Smooth like butta again ???
It qued me for 10 min, magically my tag was still in the cart when it let me back in and I was able to check out! It’s nothing special but it’s an elk tag in the unit my cabins in and my daughter joined this world yesterday, so there will be a couple of days of elk hunting this sept! I am beyond pumped! Are you still in the que?
I’ll stand with you! Your not alone! We are hurt together!! ???? I mean ??By not drawing a tag my feelings are hurt. I will "Identify" as a tag holder. The State is now required to recognize me as such. I also want special bathrooms installed in my unit!
Maybe we need a Wildlife Task Force!??! Sad no one ever ????CPW wanted to continue random. The governing board (commissioners?) made them go to weekly only.
Exactly, when you had to have a little buy in and pay attention…This crap doesn't happen when the tags are randomly made availabe throughout the week.
That’s makes way too much senseThey should put the OTC tags/caps out 1st. Then later that day or the next day start this **** show called leftover tags.
I can't imagine anyone is happy on how they roll it out presently. Even if I had gotten the tag I was after, I would still be upset and if you call 2 different CPW offices you will get 2 different answers on how the leftover process works.
Had the exact same experience, I got in and got a tag to the cart, buddy got booted with nothing. Mine stayed in the cart and I had a couple min to check out, what a roller coaster of emotionMy buddy and I were on the phone with each other during the process. Both got logged in and at 9:00:01 hit proceed. I got in and he got booted to the waiting list.
I put in a hunt code, confirmed it was what I wanted and placed it in my cart. The countdown began and I got kicked out of the system onto the wait list. I was allowed back in and luckily had 4 minutes left to purchase the tag. I was quite pissed for 10 minutes! By the time my buddy got in the tags were all gone.
bsThats after all the CPW employees pick through the list.
If you would have noticed the time stamp, you would have seen it was updated at 8:38 a.m. with all the tags. Maybe it's not so far of a stretch. Everyone online can't get logged in, but someone has access to the server for 22 minutes.
Lmmfao you must be an employee covering up?
Your fooling yourself if you don't think CPW employees are getting some of these tags.just callin out the bs when I see it!
