I' rather listen to pop than the chit they call country since the 90s. songs that sound like they were written by teen girls being sung by fags who sound like the backstreet boys with a twang doesn't get it for me .

The only thing with Steve Earl is he was great at first and then just went totally to crap. I loved that first album though.
I wish I had a dime for every 8 track I wore out of him and Paycheck. I will never forget being 17 years old playing Waylon as load as my chitty 8 track would play him in a brand new 1979 F-250 flatbed headed to the rodeo to chase buckle bunnies.
I still have that pickup. new country should be played softly in a Prius.
LAST EDITED ON Jan-17-18 AT 07:54PM (MST)[p] I went to a couple Hag concerts and he did suck on stage. partly because he as playing a dinky venue and this was concert number 796,951 for him. but mostly because he was drunker than 10,000 Indians and was passing out.
The best concert I have ever seen was Patty Loveless, she was a great performer. well and Waylon was too.
Went to a Haggard concert at in1992 in Germany. He sucked live, I was drunk enough not to care. Went To George Strait in 2009 he made The Hag look like performer of the year
