Any one use the Leupold Ultimate slam muzzleloader scope? I am thinking about purchasing for my smokepole and would like some input. Looking at the 3-9x40

I use one on my Triumph. Love it. I like the reticle better than the Nikon and the eye relief is great. Would recommend getting one.

I use one on my TC Omega and it is great. I had a Nikon Omega for one season but found it to busy when in real hunting situations. If you get a Leupold, find a great load, and practice, you will be deadly at long range.

I have one on my T/C Pro Hunter and it did a great job on my unit 17 Elk this last year!

Would definitely agree about the Nikon reticle...thing is crowded as hell; them bubbles take up a lot of room, and can cause confusion, as they all look the same. Not a fan of that thing anyway...had a hunter shoot a bull in the brisket last season because he got mixed up with the dang bubbles! We killed bull, about two hours later after giving him the chance to lay up...shoulda been a one shot deal

Haven't used the Leupy, but it's sight picture looks much cleaner and more streamlined, on paper at least

I personally use the Leupold VX-3 B&C 4.5x14 LR on my T/C Endeavor. Takes a little more time to figure where each reticle hits, but the extra magnification is a big plus.

Same here...on my Triumph. Great scope, clear as heck. I would recommend it strongly!
