Little help on the Beaver unit

My grandson and I have deer tags for the Beaver unit this year.(Oct.22 opener) This is only his 3rd deer hunt and he is anxious to get after one. It has been a good 30 years and a couple knee replacements since I have hunted anywhere near Beaver for deer. Not looking for a honey hole just some guidance information..thank you in advance. My old handle was Magnum300ultra..

My nephew hunts the Beaver unit but has complained in recent years that it's way down in numbers and quality. I'd say go back to where you had success in the past and hope for some more.

The Beaver unit is way down in number of deer in general. Plan for a tough hunt
