I am going to take my dad elk hunting for his 60th birthday next year.
I have one option I am pondering which involves me giving up all of my Oregon points, but the ranch is 100% for bulls averaging about 280. The downside is that the I lose 12 points and my chance to ever hunt the big three in OR.
That being said, If anyone has any good options for opportunity to kill a couple decent bulls that include LOP/voucher tags out of state for a decent rifle hunt I am all ears. My budget is roughly 2500 per person (NIC liscence and Tags). If we could do a combo hunt in Colorado, I'd be willing to spend a bit more. Doesn't need to be guided, but a place with lodging onsite or near by would be good.
