Looking to buy first smoke pole!

so i got my sights set on the CVA LR-X . never laid eyes one one yet though. my question is does it have the screw holes in it so i can put open sights on it for Colorado and then go back to scope ?

Good question. I’d assume so. That said, in that price range I think you’d be happerier with something like a Knight Mountaineer. Much better quality.

Not really an issue though because you could always go with a rail mounted peep an any rifle. Like this.

He would still need holes at the front of the barrel to mount a front sight.

Reviews say it’s drilled/tapped for rail or open sights. So it must have a front sight option. Still unclear if the rail uses the rear sight mounting holes.

New to muzzle loaders | Muzzleloader Hunting

I’m looking to get into muzzle loaders and would like some suggestions on what to buy. Not new to hunting or shooting, just want more options for tags.I plan on huntin Colorado and Nevada so it’s gotta be iron sights. Budget is around $600. Thanks!
