Moisture conditions and outlook

How is the moisture looking so far this winter? I’ve heard it’s been dry. Are the elk in decent body condition so far? Hopefully there is some decent rains later on to give them the feed they need. Been a rough couple years.

A late Dec cow we shot in the northern part of the state suggests they are healthy.

Recent snotel for northern NM looks ok, not great, southern NM not so good. But plenty of time left to get better, or worse.
