Does anybody know this unit? I've been applying here for 2 years and was recently told that access could be an issue. Is most of the goat country locked behind private land? Any help would be great.

I think most of the goat country in private ownership is timber company land and access is open. If you like to hike in the rocks this is your land. I'd start looking in the Cottonwood Drainage in the south portion of the Crazy Mountains.

Thanks for the info. I love the rocks as long as I can get to them. Could I backpack it from the road or would packing in be the best choice?

Plenty of access to get at the goats, start at Big Timber creek/canyon. Bring your lungs.
