I hope you draw. We have had above normal precipe for year. I was not down to 622 but just went to scout 631 over the weekend.
Went 60 miles south of Glasgow, all the way to the Bone Trail boat ramp. We saw lots of elk, lots of deer and a few antelope. Saw one bull that would break 330 but no real monsters but then again it was kind of a speed trip.
I am a native as well and really don't mind out of state people moving here. What kills me is many move to Montana and then grip, ##### and moan that it is not like the big city. Why come here if that is your attitude?
When I was in college I used to work at a feedlot near Three Forks on the weekends. A guy from another state that begins with Ca. built a big house on his 60 acres "ranch" next door. Well when the calves would come in they would bawl all night long. This guy called the sheriff at least 20 times to demand that we workers had to make the calves be quiet during the hours of darkness. Unfortunately, that kind of knowledge, attitude and lack of understanding rural Montana is too prevalent with a lot of transplants.
Now to be fair I have met many, many quality people who love and respect this state, who are not necessarily natives but their heart is here.
