It actually resembles the rack of a muley in my local zoo that has some antler infection. Every year, it grows short a stunted, but heavily palmated rack...

This also makes me wonder how far states will take the skull possession law... Could yoU get served in Utah for buying that skull that could have died 50 years ago??? Kinda puts it all in perspective...

That is a cool purchase, i'd have bought it too!

And i think luckless is right, those aren't legal to posess in Utah with the law the way it is.....guess we need to find a way to get a few things changed around here!!;-)

I found it at an antique store in Maryland and paid $40 for it. It was labeled as a mule deer skull and I'm pretty sure it is because it is wider and larger than a whitetail and too small for an elk.
