Lets just say we were in the right place at the right time. With in the first half an hour of light we past on 3 different 4 point that were smaller. Then we looked head of us and saw the hillside move, there were some other hunters on the other side of the hill pushing a hole herd of deer right above us. not sure how many if I had to guess 40-50 deer at least 15 bucks in this herd. They all ran down the side of the hill and we sat and glass them, we found this buck in the herd and that was the one she wanted. We watch them for about 5 min and they started to circle back around. So we hurry up with a game plan and dropped down a side hill and booked it. I figure that they would come and drop down this hillside wear I've seen them bed in a little wash out area during my archery hunt. As soon as we got were I thought they would pop out, we look ahead and this hole herd was with in 100 yds of us. I set up a shooting stick for her and grab my binoculars, then we both confirmed that he was in between to other bucks. But a fawn would be in front then a doe then a buck then a fawn then a buck. It felt like hour through my binoculars but I'm sure it was just seconds. Then there was a clearing! Boom! He dropped! Was one of my favorite hunts with my wife. I'm so glad she loves this sport as much as I do. She field dress him, de-bone him at home, caped him out, and will also do the taxidermy work on him. Congratulations bud!
