Here is the story-

Its cool and all, but I watched a "hunting" video of an elk being taken in Penn several years back. The guy shot it from about 40 feet with a handgun that he rested on the top of his own boot while laying on his back... Weirdest thing I'd seen at the time probably... anyway, I don't think that hunt was canned, but it felt like it. I know the article mentions hiking, but the Penn elk I've seen in videos are almost domesticated it seems. ??? ??

Did they introduce some bloodline that was known for nontypical antler growth, or is it something in the water? Seems like they have some frankenbulls there - which is very cool.

The PA herds were restored with transplants in 1913 and 1915 from Yellowstone.

Wow, that’s one amazing bull. Something like 1 in 100 lifetimes.
I would just be happy to see something like that out in the woods.
