I was lucky enough to draw a mountain goat tag here in Montana. I came down with pneumonia in July which hampered my scouting severely. I found a spot with goats and packed in the first load of camp on Sept 26. The next Saturday I packed in the last load then took the horses home and picked up dad at the airport. My wife dad and I walked in to camp in the dark. We woke up to fog the first day. You couldn't see 100 yards so we stayed at camp. Day two we spotted a goat about a mile above camp, off we went. Three hours later we had him at 300 yards but he was only about 7" so we let him walk. Saw a few others in the distance but nothing we could get to that day.
Here are picks from day 2.
