I'm not going to ask if anyone knows where a big bull is hanging out but I am going to ask if anyone knows a good packer or outfitter that knows some of the country/drainages off the north slope and may be interested in getting a buddy of mine back in there.
He's up hunting now the usual spots you can get to off the roads but I think he increases his odds by getting in deeper with horses.
I hope he comes back with a punched tag but everything I am hearing has the herd down by about 50%. I think the second half of the hunt is going to be his best bet if he can get off the beaten path. I get to go accompany a buddy sheep-hunting by Powell or I'd be with him. Just trying to add some armchair support. Thanks for any ideas.
