None of the mule deer bucks in the yard have shed their antlers yet. Seems late. Are mule deer

bucks in your yard shedding yet?

Same here, this is as late as I’ve ever seen the majority hold onto their antlers.

All the ones around here are still packing. Even pushing each other around still.

They still got them at my place 15 miles south of Bluehair. My uncle has 1 of about 15 bucks that has shed 20 miles to the east near Mancos.

3.5 year old and smaller... the mature ones are all dead around here.

A biologist told BigJT the bulls here last spring had a later start regrowing antlers, that’s why the average bull last year didn’t have the time to growth more antler.

I wonder if this later shed, this winter/spring, is a result of last years heavy snow, late run off.

Interesting to watch.

Maybe we don’t know as much as we think we do about these animals??
