NR Elk 14 pts

Im up to 14 bonus points for elk and need some advice. Been putting in for 076 unit. Heard its a great unit but now thinking of others. Dont want to wait for ever either. I also contacted some guides in other areas to get their imput has well has prices for hunts. Do I stand pat or take a chance with some other units? Any advice would be appreciated. Don

If your heart is really set on hunting this unit I would stick with it especially with 14 points. I dont think you can go wrong with many of the units in NV just make sure you put down ALL 5 of your choices when you apply. I know the area around Ely and to the south generally hold good numbers of elk too.

as a res in 10 years when I get to put in agian I will be puting in for 111 and the areas around 222 I think those hold the bigest # of big bulls.

I agree with what mlycrzy said. Every area in Nevada can produce a good bull knowing the area is key. And dont over look the late rifle hunts I drew a late tag in 111 last year and killed a 358 4/8 bull that wasnt broken.
