October Hawgs

Here are a few of the big ugly salmon I caught last October.
The river I usually catch nice bright chromers in had a pretty lousy run, so I spent most of my time on another river where the fish usually have more color.
They still lock you up and make you sweat!
These were the biggest of a BUNCH!

Cool pics HH! Springers are finally starting to come in up here in WA. I'll be headed down to the Columbia in the next coupla' weeks and hopefully bust a couple hawgs. Rip-a-Lip!!

I didn't smoke any of these.
I gave that top one to a buddy, and he did smoke it though.
Unless they are a bleeder I generally release them.

Chromers like this are what I like to keep for the freezer.

As of late though my kid's fish always seem bigger and brighter.
I guess that's how it's supposed to be!

No, those photos are from the Sacramento river near Red Bluff.
The pic in the dark IS from the American river, but I won't go near Nimbus at all (Zoo!)
The photo at the bottom with me and my kid is at the Feather river in the 100 degree heat!
