??? of the Day ... What Rifle for Mule Deer?

Turn em into burger before you get to the butcher! Saves on processing costs! Nuff said!

This is for deer and elk

Day 1-3: Savage 116 in .300 RUM. 180 grain Barnes TTSX. I've had a bunch of work done on this rifle and it shoots great, but the 26" barrel gets heavy on the third evening!

Day 4-kill: I switch to a Remington model 721 in 30.06. My dad gave it to me, his dad gave it him. Built in 1958, bought at a pawn shop in Richmond, CA that same year along with three other 721's. I installed a better trigger, Boyd's stock and had it cerakoted. Other than those things, it's stock and shoots Federal Premium 180 grain trophy coppers in a tight little group @ 100yds.
