Maybe someone out there can give me some tips about a load for this rifle. I have a friend who is trying to get this gun on paper for his son. So far, not too much luck. He is shooting APP powder and has tried 85 to 120 grns. He has tried Shockwaves and Powerbelts. If anyone has any suggestions for him, I will forward your responses. I shoot an Omega as well as him, but this gun so far is not too user friendly. Thanks for your help. Mark.

In my Optima Pro ,In Michigan I use 90 grains of Pyrodex and a Hornady 240 grain XTP.I get 2 inch and under groups at 100 yards.I find the CVA rifles of today are very accurate rifles.I own a Optima Pro, 2 Kodiaks ,2 Wolf, and 1 Buckhorn and they all shoot very well.I am very happy with all of them.

I shoot 140 grains of shockey's gold and every shockwave bullet I've shot grouped well. Powerbelts do not agree with my gun. I couldn't group well with less amounts of powder, More is better.
