Love the packing pics. I was more computer literate I would be able to post some of my own. I can't wait tell September 13 to head to the Church.

A few of us get together quite often just to get out of cell range from the shop.

If I can send a picture to some-one, I can't get it to load for me.

LAST EDITED ON Jan-11-09 AT 04:33PM (MST)[p]That was an 05 elk hunt in the church. Candy is such a dandy laying in the pond when she went down with my gear on her. It only cost me my leica range finder( not water proof). The other mules in the pics are one's we bought for $107.00 a piece, the best 100 bills I have spent. All in all it was a great trip we should have been 3 for 3 but the others let me down.

Great pictures and info. Thanks.

All of us that pack know that there will be wrecks once in a while, but horses and mules make it so much easier and enjoyable. After all they have 4 feet and we only have 2!!!!

LAST EDITED ON Jan-11-09 AT 08:27PM (MST)[p]Couple more from the high country of Southwest Albera. Up one side and down the other side. The much needed rest at the bottom.

I saw in Chasendeers pictures that Chasendeer and Me have the same Panniers. I just read his story $107.00 dollar mules, I'm hoping I can find a couple like that this summer.

Chasendeer
I got a free 13 year riding and packing mule today.

They was asking $500 but I turned down the deal he about 150 lbs under weight, Saying that was too much for me to spend on a mule that would need a lot of feed to get him back where he belongs, After I load my horse up to head back home the lady said We can't feed him no more so please take him with ya, So I did I'm thinking it will take a few months to get him back up to his right weight.
Hope hay keeps getting cheaper.

But i think he will turn out to be a nice one. They had him for 5 yrs But never packed on him but they brought him at a sale and the other owner said he was a packing and riding mule but the lady said they just rode him all the time. So for the first 8 year he did some packing but we will see if he remebers. LOL
