My 12 year old son drew this tag. And yes, I'm looking for general information. We have never been on the unit, but looking forward to exploring the unit. Actually, I hope to hunt cows with him on lots of different units exploring Utah over the years!!!

Pm me. Hope to have fun, but most of the fun on a cow hunt is being out and seeing critters which I'm sure will happen.

No luck today. Didn't even see one. Was great to be out. Hiked 7 miles. Maybe tomorrow.

No luck? Post pics when your boy scores. We're heading out to Monroe on the 19th to work on filling my 13 year olds cow tag.

No luck. Saw a boat load of deer. found some day old tracks, but didn't see one elk. Talked to a few others that have hunted that unit and hunt, they were as baffled as I was. Probably due to the lack of snow.

Buy chance are you from Highland? Driving a polaris rzr? Maybe we talked to you and your son Saturday. If so we ran into a large herd right after we talked go higher toward horse valley.

I will be up there the 24th as well as the 29th through the 31st. I got some info from a local in the mammoth creek creek community so feel free to pm me and I will be happy to share with you what I have. My 14 year old also has a cow tag for the area.

Thanks for the offer. The good/bad news is that it snowed, so we are headed snowmobiling and skiing in stead of cow elk hunting. Another unfilled tag! It was fun to try and get to know a new area.
