I am looking to pm someone know their handle but can't figure out how to do it...

I just sent you a message and tried to explain the best I could how to send a PM. They are now called conversations. If you see the Red indicator next to the envelope at the top of the page of the topic press on the envelope and that message should come up.
If you want to return a conversation just type in the message box and hit the replay spot.

Yep, click the envelope icon, then start new conversation and type in the name.
