Pre-Stretched Strings

I bought my bow about a month ago and they said it has pre-stretched strings on it. Are those pre-stretched strings really pre-stretched,or is that just another "feature" they tell customers to make the bow sound more appealing?

Pretty much all semi-decent strings are "pre-stretched." And they probably are, but even the best usually settle in a little bit for the first couple hundred shots.
