Pref Point strategy

Help me out here. I want to archery hunt this year on a general unit BUT I also want to get a pref point. I'm guessing I can only do this by drawing the unit I want as second choice. What should I put in for as first choice? What do you think will be the hardest general hunt to draw with 0 pref points?

Looks like there's already so many dedicated hunters and
life time license permit guys pick this unit that there
may not even be any public permits left...............

If you chose to buy a 'deer preference point only'.
It take you out off the general deer draw..

Archery is not a guaranteed tag anymore. I had archery as my second choice last year and ended up getting my third choice (rifle northern buck) It would suck not to draw any tag just trying to get a preference point.. Toughest areas to draw are no doubt the southern units

We'll se how this year pans out with the new units. There may be leftovers in the unit I want.
