Just wondering how many points it takes to draw into a good archery elk hunt unit or a rifle mule deer unit. I am just buying points for now but I have no idea how many points it will take to draw into a good unit for elk or deer. I am mainly interested in mule deer. Thanks for any information you can give me!

There are many good hunts with 1 or 2 points for archery elk. Keep up with your points and start researching.

Elk
Good 0 Points, nonresident can draw a General tag every year
Better Maybe 6 or 7, 4 points was the max going into this years draw, unit 7 wasn't 100% draw with max points, difficult to say where that will level out.
Best Units like 100 and a few others will take a lifetime of points to draw
Deer
Good 0 Points, Unit H and some others can be drawn every year
Better 1 point, Region G can be drawn with 1 point
Best I don't which units would be considered to be better than G.
