Preference Points

Hey guys, this is a question I should know the answer to, so any help would be appreciated.

In Wyoming I have 1 preference point for antelope. When I apply in 2011 and select my first choice with preference point will I have 2 points for the 2011 drawing or do I only go in the drawing with 1 point and I only earn the second point if I am unsuccessful for my first choice? Not even sure I have made my question clear enough.

You'll have 1 point, you don't receive another point until you're unsuccssful.
