Question on Application Process

Just applied for myself and my brother. I am a nonresident. When I went to apply it said I "already owned" a hunting license. I didn't buy one in 2009, so how does that work? My brother, who has applied every year just like me, had to purchase a hunting license.

Anyone know what the story could be? Don't want to be kicked out of the draw for some reason beyond my control. It didn't even give me the option to buy a license, so I'm not trying to cheat anyone or anything.

I recently learned that Utah's nonresident hunting license can be used for two consecutive years application periods as long as you apply for the second years tags before the expiration date of your hunting license.

For example, I purchased my new license on Feb. 21st of this year Next year as long as I apply before Feb. 21st, I will not be required to buy a 2010 license.

So what happens if your licnese isn't valid at the time of the draw?????????????????????????

If you draw you have to get a license to have a valid tag, They may not issue it if you dont have one.

I think nochawk is wrong. Page 10 of the proclamation states that as long as you have a valid license at the time you apply, you do not have to have one for that years hunt.

Wow, guess you only need to buy the license every other year?? They'll fix that, SHHHHHHH
