Region H Question

Which unit in H would be best to get away from the crowds and have a chance at a decent buck?

Look over maps and find those areas without access by motor. I would suggest that usually opening 2-3 days gets people about everywhere. If you can hunt later in the hunt, before elk season, the hunting is great. You get the opening day deer that are not aware of what is happening yet, but after a few weeks the people clear out and you can have a great hunt on your own. I do not have a suggestion on unit numbers.

Theris a significant portion of region H that is designited wilderness. Nonresidents are required to have a guide in those wilderness areas.
