Ruby's late deer tag???

I have a 101-109 Late Deer tag and was wondering if the Ruby mountains was the best place to hunt or if there is other places to check out. I haven't been able to get a hold of the biologist. So that is why I'm asking on here. If I still lived in the lower 48 I would have made at least trip to scout it out. I know its late in the game but any info would be great. Thanks

The OP is being somewhat polite with regard to his situation. He had an outfitter lined up to take him up the Rubies, but due to an unforeseen personal situation, the outfitter had to decline. The outfitter is in no way wrong here either. So, his flight from Alaska is booked & he doesn't want to hike up there if there are other options. Does any of that lower country to the east, southeast hold any reasonable populations of deer. We have hunted east of Snow lake before, but I was a kid then & can't remember deer densities. OP is a good guy, just trying to help him out.....

I have enjoyed several hunts for mule deer and antelope with Mitch Buzzetti in the last few years and had a blast.
His place is at the base of the Rubies -II am sure you will have a great time hunting the Rubies as it is truly beautiful and look forward to doing that hunt someday.

Google Currant Creek Outfitters (Riley Manzonie). See if he has any late hunt dates open. He has consistently pulled very nice buckks out during that late unit 10 hunt.
