Nothing will cover up a stinkin' humans' scent in the field. Your breath is probably the worst thing of all.
Your only control is to keep the wind in your face. I've had oldtimers swear by wild mint leaves, but who knows?
We are constantly being "sold" all this junk to help us get in close, most all BS. Scent blockers, camo clothing, urine patches.....on and on it goes.
The creatures we chase have millions of nasal receptors, massive ears and eyes the size of tennis balls. Pretty difficult to get past those defenses.
Your only way to success is to avoid sight, scent and sound.....mess any one up and it's game over....I guess there's always luck thrown in.
