Scouting the backcountry

I am wanting to take a couple trips scouting this summer. I like to check out more remote type areas. Remote areas hold more trophy quality imo. I am going to pack a small camp in with my horses. I would like to go before the hunts start so I don't interfere with anyone's hunt. What units and areas would you guys suggest that I look into (for deer and/or elk). I'm starting to get some points built up (10 points) and I need to start looking. I am hoping I can draw in the next 2 to 10 years. I have a few ideas already, but I would love to hear some of your thoughts. Thanks

For elk, 072. For deer, you are overpointed for the "backcountry" deer hunts I am familiar with but I would say 221. Very little baackcountry there that you couldn't access daily with stock and optics versus packing in.
