Shiras moose cape

I told my taxidermist that I wasn't planning on mounting my WY shiras moose and is there a market for a cape. He said he really needed one and he could probably get me $500 for one in good condition. A few weeks later, I got my moose, caped it and called him. Now he tells me he has gotten several moose capes in the last few weeks and doesn't really need one but will try to sell it for me. Yesterday he called and said he found a buyer and offered me $125 for it. Is that a reasonable price or am I getting rooked?

Its worth about twice that... If you want to sell it list it on ebay, or taxidermy.net.

I had a small AK cape, it took a day to sell after I posted it, had 3 offers...

All depends on size of animal if its big they start at 300$ plus but if its a piss head 200$ wont be bad.
