I have a shorter torso and my Badlands 2200 is killing me . I've heard the Blacks Creek packs are great for guys like me. Can anyone give me any info or opinions? How does it handle packing out meat? Wear and tear?
LAST EDITED ON Nov-25-10 AT 01:47PM (MST)[p]I had the Canadian and the Alaskan. Both have the adjustable torso and both are built like tanks. But they are a little heavy compared to my sitka 32. They were also a little wider than I liked and that was the main reason I got rid of them. They will definitely pack a load.
If you like the overall design of the 2200 but its too long then you'll like the Eberlestock X2. Similar design to the 2200 just built for a smaller torso, otherwise I'd own one.
I also have a short torso and I use the Wilderness Pack Specialties pack and it works great! I used it to pack out an elk and a deer this year and was very impressed!
