At least this one is a sufficient penalty imo. 1 year in jail, and 36k in fines beats most penalties for poachers.

Ok Feddoc, quit trying to get me in trouble with Homer, I was referring to the drunk poacher.

Where's the sympathy? The guy obviously has a substance abuse problem. He surely must have lost his job and probably has a family to feed. It's hard to shoot a deer when you're hammered under the influence and then gut it and load it into the truck. I know that from experience. And he didn't shoot a doe which would have been much easier. Driving home he must have realized he was a danger to himself and the public, so he did the right thing by pulling over to sleep it off. Kudos to him. I'd like to see poaching decriminalized like shop lifting.

In case you're wondering, I joined the Democrat Party about a month ago.
