What a great time my son and I had spotting and stalking muleys this weekend! Slept in the box of the truck right out in the heart of great deer country and the truck stayed parked the entire time! Nothing like waking up before the sun comes up, strapping your boots on and walking only a couple hundred yards to wait for the sun to rise so you can glass! We spotted Wes's buck from about 1,000 yds, made a couple mile loop around to get wind and on top of him on a clay nob at only 50 yards and waited "roasted" for 8 hours for him to get up. Had him cut up and in the freezer at 3:30am. This hunt reminded me so much of my first hunt, it to was in the same area. I was hunting with the exact same .243 Winchester featherweight with the 3x9. I don't have a single picture from that hunt and always wished I had. So I made sure we captured Wes's hunt in pictures this time around! Have a great fall everyone!
This is the only pic I have of my deer back then, we were the same age. Talk about twins eh!
