South eastern unit.

My father and I have been hunting the southeastern unit all year and found very little signs of deer.I spent five days on the muzzle loader hunt and every weekend on the archery hunt.I tried tree stands,spot and stalk and walking ridge tops.Nothing has worked and the disappointment is surely setting in now.Please PM me if you have any information you could share.I'm not looking for anyones honey holes just some info about the area that I have been hunting.

Above spring city,just south of Spring city canyon.

I hunt south of there, but generally speaking it seems like the deer start showing up in the low country the week before the deer hunt. I haven't seen a lot yet, but the deer hunt is a little earlier this year. A lot of deer are taken down low in the Cedars every year. If you can find some ground down low that is not private it might be a good option. No dought there will be some big boys that hang up high, but I am not familiar with that part of the unit. If you can make it down a day early it should give you a good idea of how many deer are in the low country. Hope this helps some.
