spark arrester

OK I finally decided on the size and picked up a 4dog stove, now I need to put together a spark arrester, could someone tell me what size screen mesh I should get? Also is there any paticular shape the arrester should be made?

Richard, you will probably not even need the spark arrestor with the 4-dog because of the baffle. But what I did was get some 3/8" hail screen and made a tube to set on top of the baffle and just large enough to fit into the stove pipe that goes into the top of the stove and up into the pipe just a little ways. Then what ever does get around the baffle hits the screen and it's done. also it is down low to the heat source and keeps it clean.

just keep the mesh screen holes small and it it will work I make mine to fit tight inside the stove pipe one length from the top or at the start of the top length. Top length has a dome cover on it I put a piece in also.
