Spike elk

So just got home from a 7 day spike elk hunt in the south west desert. It was amazing Hunt except for the hot draw and dusty. Seen lots of elk bull and cows and calf’s just no spikes. It was a great 7 days. Is what I thought was nuts is the bulls were already leavening the cows and getting together. Can’t wait to try it again next year.

I’ve had the same luck hunting spikes. It’s been my dream to kill one but I’ve only killed branch antler bulls. One day!!

I was never one to take the easy road lol. But yes I am going to look more into that next year.
